Handmade fine silver pendant/charm - Replica fossil shark's tooth Y top

This gorgeous little charm is an exact copy of the fossilised tooth that it is pictured with.  The fossil is, I believe, around 40 million years old.   A mold of the tooth was made, and then the replica tooth was made with silver clay from the mold.  The slight size difference occurs during firing, when all the organic elements of the clay burn off, leaving solid, fine silver.  The silver tooth is 2.5 cm long. The detail on the tooth is emphasised with an antique finish.

This little charm will look equally as dramatic on a silver chain, or on a leather effect cord.
