Fine silver replica cockle shell stud earrings

I found these cockle shells when I was walking my dogs on Worthing beach, just looked down and there they were! The common cockle can grow up to 5cm across, so this chap was quite tiddly at only 8mm across. Like trees they can be aged by the horizontal lines and they are apparently becoming very popular as mulch 🤷. They also make beautiful silver studs!

I made a silicon mold of the shells and then used that to create exact copies of the shells in fine silver, the perfect size for studs.

The studs measure 8mm high and 8mm wide.
